To share the Good News of Jesus Christ as we are going into all the world.

crossview community church

This is not just a statement for missionaries and mission work. It is a way of life for all disciples. You may not be able to conduct a bible study, or answer all the theological questions of the ages, but you can love people, show kindness, and be salt and light in the work place, at school, and on the golf course.

If you do this, you will be sharing the Good News with people. They will see a difference in you and want what you have. Remember, you may be the only sermon some people ever hear.

To honor God and build up people with dynamic, contemporary worship.

Where do some churches and denominations get the idea that assembly services have to be funereal and boring to the point of tears before they are considered Scriptural? Ever read this passage?

nondenominational christianityYou have not come to a mountain that can be touched and that is burning with fire; to darkness, gloom and storm; to a trumpet blast or to such a voice speaking words that those who heard it begged that no further word be spoken to them, because they could not bear what was commanded: “If even an animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned.” The sight was so terrifying that Moses said, “I am trembling with fear.”

But you have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the judge of all men, to the spirits of righteous men made perfect, to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel (Heb 12:18-24).

Contrary to the beliefs of some, “church services” are not God's punishment to Christians until they get to heaven. On the contrary, our time together in Praise & Worship is supposed to prepare us for, and be a little taste of, the glory that awaits us.

To create a place where the hurting, frustrated, and depressed can find love, healing, and forgiveness.God Father Jesus Christ

Do you find it strange that the “kind” of people that hung out with Jesus are not always the kind of people who hang out with us?

How often was Christ criticized for being in the presence of IRS agents, whores, thieves, drunks, and the terminally ill? The answer is quite often. So look around your church. I'm sure there are lots of prodigals who have come back home, but what about those still wallowing in the pig sty? Do you have anyone that smells of a fresh hangover?

While we should never encourage sinful behavior, we must create a place where those who are behaving sinfully, and who want to change, can find healing and forgiveness. Most people I know already know how scumful they are; they want to know where to find scum remover. Crossview's purpose is to give them Jesus. Only He can clean up their mess.

To develop people to spiritual maturity through bible studies, hands-on ministry, and prayer.

from religion to relationshipDiscipleship is a hands on endeavor. We can preach it and teach it and roll it in a pan, but it will not become real until people try it for themselves. Maturing Christians is of the highest priority both to God and us.

It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare GodŐs people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ (Eph 4:11-13).

We spend a tremendous amount of time in hands on bible studies. Walking through books of the bible, allowing for discussion and questions, always following the principles of read, interpret, apply.

We encourage people on every occasion to share their gifts with the congregation, either in public or in private, and we constantly pursue ministries which help unveil, develop, and implement our God given gifts.

And for Crossview, nothing takes the place of prayer. From day one our prayer has been, “God, send us people, all people, who feel as though they have no place to go, no place to turn, no hope to grasp. Send us everyone that has been burned by religion, turned away by churches, ostracized by legalism.” And He has answered that prayer time and time again.
